Loving Lately: Credo Favorites

It’s here it’s here! The Credo Beauty Friends and Family Sale is this weekend which means you can snag allllll of the clean and safe goodies for 20% OFF! The sale ends at midnight PT tonight and is a great opportunity to save on safer staples.

Credo is one of my favorite places to shop (more on that here) because they have the highest standards, strict ingredient requirements (more on that here) and make switching to safer such a breeze (more on why I switched to safer products here).

I put together my favorite products that I consistently purchase from Credo and a few that I’m eyeing in case you want to take advantage of the promo! I know clean beauty can be expensive so when there are promos I always want you to have the deets! On top of that, figuring out which products to swap out can be overwhelming (see my post on how to get started here). If you have questions or need help figuring out what would be best for your skin and budget, just drop me a comment below!

IN MY CABINET

Basd Body Lotion in Invigorating Mint

This is a new to me product that I’ve been testing for my body wash round up! My favorite part about it is the scent – it’s truuly invigorating and wakes me up in the morning in the most pleasant way. Aloe and green tea leave my body feeling soft, never dry, and I’m able to get this to lather decently.

One Love Organics Botanical B Enzyme Cleansing Oil

Ah one of my favorite cleansing oils! This was included in my post about double cleansing and it was newer to me then. I’ve since gotten used to the smell (which most people love) and really appreciate it’s effectiveness – it helps with dryness and pore size and balances the skin’s pH.

Vapour High Voltage Matte Lipstick

My all time favorite matte lipstick! I love the color Madam for a neutral and Blaze is my go-to when I want a bolder red. This is an excellent swap for your matte mac option – I included these staples in my spring to summer lipstick roundup and my festive lipstick roundup!

Ilia Color Block Lipstick

One of my all time favorite clean lipsticks – it’s so smooth and velvety and has real staying power. The shade Wild Rose is a wonderful multi-seasonal neutral that looks well on many skin tones! It was also in this lipstick roundup. This in rosewater is my other favorite pinky neutral and it’s also on sale!

Indie Lee Purifying Fash Wash

I use this every other night (on nights when I don’t use the peel) and it’s extremely gentle yet effective! All of Indie’s face washes are so gentle, you really can’t go wrong. I chatted more about them in my post featuring safer swaps for the Cetaphil lover and mentioned this one here.

Rake Styling Balm

C has been using this in his hair for a month or so and really loves it! It smells fantastic and is just as effective as his tried and true hair balm – it’s also a great price!

Kosas The Big Clean Volumizing + Lash Care Mascara

THE BEST MASCARA! Look, I actually really like a lot of clean mascaras (round up to come) but this one is my go-to as of late because it makes my eyes SO bright and my lashes SO boosted. It feels like it shouldn’t be clean but it is. Highly recommend if you love a great big lash!

Herbivore Botanicals Lapis Facial Oil

This was my go-to facial oil in the summertime! Blue Tansy has the dreamiest smell and is great for healing blemishes, clarifying and balancing. I use it as my nighttime moisturize/hydrate step!

Kosas Wet Lip Oil Gloss

Wearing lots of masks? This lip oil is for you! I’ve been super into lip oils lately – they are the perfect solution for under masks when you want a little hydration. I love the color jellyfish – it’s pretty much clear and doesn’t transfer!

Indie Lee Squalane Facial Oil

Ahhh squalane, how I love thee! I use squalane oil as my nighttime moisturizer almost every night! It’s hydrating without clogging pores or causing breakouts – our skin naturally produces a form of squalane but it decreases as we age. This is my top recommended oil for almost every single skin type! More on that here.

Ellis Brooklyn West Eau de Parfum

I am slowly but surely building out my clean fragrance arsenal and this is my most recent addition! West is slightly citrusy and inspired by 1970s LA. C gave it to be for my birthday after I tried and loved a sample (from Credo, obviously). I’ll share more about this is my safer scents post, but I love that the company makes everything in small batches locally in Brooklyn, New York. They are also sticklers about their ingredients, packaging and processing and carry other products like candles, too!

Goop G.Tox Himalayan Salt Scalp Scrub

This is the product I never knew I needed and now cannot live without! Truth be told, earlier this year my scalp was in tough shape. Since I’ve incorporated this scrub once a week, my scalp and hair have been seriously revived. It’s a great addition to my spa shower routine!

Alima Pure Natural Definition Eye Pencil

I talk about this eyeliner allllll of the time! The color patina is my favorite, but already sold out. Snag any of them if you can – they go on super smoothly and are easy to blend!

Ilia Beauty Balmy Gloss Tinted Lip Oil

Again with the lip oil! This is my favorite tinted option – it goes on so smoothly and is the perfect neutral pink!

Phlur Ceramic Candle

This will definitely be included in my clean candle round up! Phlur is one of my all time favorite fragrance brands – I have two of their perfumes (Hanami and SC 59) and have tried several of their candles. I light them every morning when I do my morning routine!

IN MY CART

Alima Pure Satin Matte Foundation

I’ve heard amazing things about this powder foundation! I still use a tinted pressed powder that is not clean and am hoping this is a great replacement!

Alima Pure Foundation Brush

Because ya gotta pair the product with a brush! Most of my brushes are super old so I’m in the market for quality replacements!

Heretic Dirty Ginger Bread Candle

I mean… color me intrigued! This candle is pricey (even with the discount) but I’m a sucker for holiday smells and this might just be what my quarantine needs!

Indie Lee Soothing Cleanser

My skin is needing more hydration so I’m thinking about adding this cleanser once my other one runs out! Rose oil and roman chamomile sound positively heavenly, hydrating and gentle.

Indie Lee I-Waken Resurfacing Mask

My mask obsession continues! The purple color of this one really intrigues me – and I love the combo of acids, clays and fruit extracts. It’s great for all skin types and the reviews say it’s not drying!

Goop “The Martini” Emotional Detox Bath Soak

Let me just start by saying I am not a bath person. But, since we’ve moved to the surburbs, we now have access to a clean bathtub! The name of this bath soak pretty much sold me. Maybe I’ll be a bath person after all!

Westman Atelier Eye Love You Mascara

I’ve been following Gucci Westman since her Revlon days and have heard amazing things about this line! While I may not purchase this mascara this time around becuase I have three that I’m rotating, it’s on my list for the next sale.

Fur Fur Shave Cream

I’m upping my clean shaving game and love this brand! I’m intrigued by the whipped, lightweight texture and olive oil base.
