Loving Lately: Cozy Cream

Give me ALL of the cozy textures and cream colors! I am a neutral gal and while black is my main “color” in the fall and winter, I’m also a big fan of cream and winter white, both as anchor colors and for my accessories. C says I have an ivory sweater problem and he is not wrong! If I’m tired or torn about what to wear, I gravitate towards cozy cream knits and if I need to amp it up a notch, I go monochromatic: there is nothing more flattering than a head-to-toe winter white look! Some of my current staples and faves:

CARDIGANS: I’m really into cardigans right now because they are SO good for layering! I often wear cardigans over other sweaters for added warmth, but also love to style them over a lace camisole or plain and tucked into denim for date night. I get a TON of wear out of this one – it’s come with me on every single trip I’ve taken since I purchased it over the summer. The heavy cotton is super soft and great for those will wool sensitivities! This one is similar, this one is so cute too (the sleeves!), and this one… and this one…

HATS: Funny enough, I used to HATE hats! I was leery of anything touching my skin and avoided all hats at all costs. Boy was I missing out! Not only do hats keep you warm but they can really make an outfit! I have my wool fedoras and pom pom beanies on heavy rotation but don’t have either style in cream! I have my eye on this one, this one and really love this one and this one, too!

BOTTOMS: When I think about white bottoms, I immediately think summer white denim but there are SO many more options! I’ve been living in these pants – the cut, material and sandstone color are especially lovely and pair well with cream and beige. I also LOVE corduroy for cooler months and have my eye on this pair of high waist flares (dare to flare amiright?), this fun mini skirt (this one is cute and love the price point) and this pair of overalls!

SHOES: Being a Chicago gal and having lived in upstate New York and now NYC, I am no stranger to the cold and have owned my fair share of snowboots! They can be heavy, clunky and a pain to wear. No thanks. I’m a big fan of streamlined, chic yet practical boots – they exist, I promise! While I am an insulated Bean Boot loyalist, I like the idea of a cream boot too. This pair looks so stinkin’ cozy I don’t think I’d want to take them off and these are so chic.

SCARVES: I wear a scarf every single day during the fall and winter – every. single. day. This one is my favorite and I’m eyeing it in the cream color. I also would love to try this one – Cuyana is my fave! – and have had this one on my wishlist for YEARS. The wrap style would be so great for travel! All of these would be such great investments and pieces I know I would use and love for years to come!
