TGIF mother fluffers! We are home this weekend and excited to tackle one of our bucket list items – renting a boat in Central Park! Other than that, we hope to do some Upper East Side “research” and hit up a restaurant we haven’t tried before (which we meant to do last week). Sunday its supposed to rain, so I’m thinking I may head to the Farmer’s Market (my fave tradition) and The Met!

Travel Backgammon
Last weekend we had the best date night in the park with a bottle of wine and our trusty backgrammon set (more about our easy picnic gear here). C taught me how to play backgrammon on our honeymoon in 2015 – it’s literally all we did. Needless to say, once we returned we immediately purchased a set of our own. It’s chic, has a travel handle, and was reasonably priced. Great for park or backyard fun!
Ruffle Maxi Dress
I have been living – living – in this dress. Late summer means I want pretty much nothing touching my body, but kinda still want to look xute. This dress fits the bill. I have it in white (styled here) and black (styled here) and it looks great loose or with a belt. It also washes well and the material is a great quality! My normal sized worked, but I’m weird about armholes and anything close to my neck – I like plenty of space in both areas. As a result, I sized up. I love that it comes in XS-4X!
Clean Coffee
I am very caffeine sensitive. I only have one cup in the morning and I’m really particular about it. For me that means I load it up with DF milk (I prefer oat milk with just oats and water – no added gums) plus collagen for protein and superfoods for a healing boost. That way it’s more of a snack and keeps my blood sugar stable. I’m also really particular about the brand of coffee I use. Earlier this year I switched to Purity Coffee, at the recommendation of one of my health practitioners. It’s organic, not processed with chemicals, checked for mold and mycotoxins, roasted at optimum temperatures and delivered within 48 hours of roasting. As a result, it also has more anti-oxidants than your average joe (see what I did there?).
ANYWAY. Back to why I love Purity. This week I happened to run out and turned to our regular Nespresso. DISCLAIMER: we LOVE our Nespresso (the foam!) and it’s a great option if you’re not caffeine sensitive like me. After my one cup I felt SO jittery and anxious! It was actually horrible and I remembered why I switched to a cleaner and antioxidant packed option.
You can only buy Purity directly from the site – they have full bean bags in various sizes and travel satchels too! I get mine monthly. It’s also worth noting that they only sell whole beans. Grinding coffee myself is a bit more work but once I do it, I keep it in an air-tight container and know it will be contamination free. I feel like I should do a dedicated post on my coffee process with all the fun gadets I use, so maybe I’ll do that next week.
Doggy Walk Kit
I got Bruce a new collar and leash set because his was getting kinda grimy. Like, so gross that his collar couldn’t be washed! Anyway, I’m pretty sure I was inta-ad spammed by Wild One at some point and eventually pulled the trigger. We LOVE it! The colors are fun (we got beige, but still) and I love that all of the pieces are waterproof, dirt proof and easily cleaned. The poop bags are plant-based and biodegradable, too!
Edible Cookie Dough
OHMYYYGODDD THE COOKIE DOUGH OF MY DREAMS! I was influenced by Amanda (@notskinnybutnotfat) on this one – she had a collaboration with Deux, a vegan, GF, mostly organic and all non-GMO edible cookdough and so I ordered it. Her flavor was sold out, but I grabbed this three pack and it did NOT disappoint! The brownie one is like eating the fudgiest, gooeyest brownie ever. You can eat the dough plain or bake it – personally I prefer it straight outta the jar. There are NO junky ingredients and the deux is sweetened with organic maple syrup and organic coconut sugar. The chocolate chips do have cane sugar in them, but nothing is overly sweet. It IS overly delicious though. I also love that each flavor has a booster – Chocolate Chip is enhanced with Zinc and Elderberry, Brownie Batter enhanced with Aloe Vera Extract and Vitamin C and Peanut Butter enhanced with Pea Protein.
