Five Favorites 6/4

TGIF! Anyone else feel like short weeks are actually the longest? Despite the rain, we had such an amazing long weekend (and even sneaked in some walks with B!). It was so lovely that returning to my weekday routine was a bit of a downer. Phoebe recently posted about not living life for the weekend – but she also said that when summer comes around it’s really hard not to! I totally agree. There’s just something about being outdoors, soaking in the sunshine and reading a good book that makes me so happy. I’m not sure how much outdoor time I’ll get this time around – it looks like we’ll be getting more rain this weekend – but rain or shine I’ll definitely be reading.

I’ve been reading a lot lately and I’m really enjoying it (you can find six recent faves here and other reviews here). Getting into a better reading routine has decreased my screen time and increased my happiness levels. Plus it’s helped with my anxiety and I think it’s helping me sleep better. Only if I don’t stay up too late reading of course (which does happen occasionally – I’m a sucker for a good plot)! I shared a few ways I’ve made time for reading over on stories and may even do a blog post… if I’m not too busy reading 😉

And now, a few recent faves…

Target Table

I shared this over on Instagram, but I finally found the side table I wanted in stock and I love it even more in person! The table is metal and looks far more expensive than it is, but the best part is that it’s a durable piece that will last. Bistro tables are also incredibly versatile – check out this piece by Sarah featuring fellow NYers Anna and Sarah! Unfortuantely my table isn’t a new release and can rarely be delivered so if you’re hoping to snag one make sure you check if your local target has one for pick up (you can do this online) and check back often for restocks!

Zara Home

I don’t know where I’ve been but have you seen the latest Zara Home launch?! I saw it after reading another one of Sarah’s articles over on Apartment Therapy. I wish I could link pretty much everything! So many beautiful neutral pieces and accents that really pull a home together. I can’t do a carousel because they aren’t on LTK, but here are a few favorites: these two-toned striped towels, this pretty scalloped towel, this darling mini floral print bedding, this soft green printed duvet, this reminds me of a rustic version of my bistro tableware, this refined scalloped edge dinnerware, and literally every single napkin.

Sandwiches

I can’t think about sandwiches without thinking about the Friends epsiode, “The One With The Embryos” when the group plays a trivia game. What’s Joey’s Favorite Food? SANDWICHES! Lately I gotta say – same. There’s just something about warm weather that makes me want a sandwich. I’m putting together a post with some of my favorite combos – I’ve got a cucumber dill sandwich that is deeeelightful! I’ve been using either Sprouted for Life Flax or Canyon Bakehouse 7 Grain gluten free bread. ALL sandwiches are better with toasted bread, IMO.

Dirty Paws Be Gone

WE FINALLY found a less populated place in the park to try off leash sessions with Bruce. He’s pretty loyal but his recall stinks! Plus we always worry he’ll run if he sees a squirrel. The only thing he loves more than squirrels is tennis balls, so we brought one and played a rowdy round of fetch this morning. He was great but super dirty. Most of the time I can wipe his paws clean with these (2 packs are always in my Grove auto-ship) but if he’s really dirty this MUDBUSTER is a LIFE saver! It’s also super easy to clean and store!

Summer Stripes

Okay I know I shared my favorite summer dresses in my last Friday post, but I’ve really been leaning into classic shirt dresses lately. Although they don’t often fit my criteria for being braless, I love that both t-shirt and button up styles can be dressed up or down. Obviously I tend to stick to a more neutral color palette because I find them more versatile. Anywho, I’ve saved a bunch as of late and figured I’d share them with you, too! My favorite thing about all of the styles below is that they are wardrobe staples that will be loved year after year.

Have a great weekend!
